Rojie Kisten
Rojie Kisten was born and completed her schooling in Port Elizabeth at Woolhope Secondary School. She was Head Prefect at Woolhope in 1982 and was also recipient of the Dux Award for Academic and Sporting achievements in 1982. She was also the top student at the University of Stellenbosch on the MDP Programme (1993).
She is the chairperson of Project Ilima, a skills capacity initiative of Old Mutual in partnership with the Department of Provincial and Local Government through Project Consolidate, and Serves as a Trustee on the Old Mutual Foundation as well as a director on the Masisizane Section 21 Company created by Old Mutual in 2007.
She also serves on a number of boards in South Africa and holds Directorship on the following boards:
• Mandela Bay Development Agency;
• Masisizane Section 21 Company;
• Ilima Trust;
• OMIGSA Imfundo Trust
Her goal is never to forget her upbringing and roots and as such to always ensure that she makes a meaningful contribution to the country as a whole, especially in the area of the upliftment and economic emancipation of women, so as to ensure that as a nation we truly flourish!
She was Old Mutual South Africa's first Black women General Manager Appointee.
