Chippa United Returns to Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium for Clash Against Kaizer Chiefs FC

The Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, operated by the Mandela Bay Development Agency, is delighted to confirm the highly anticipated Betway fixture between Chippa United and Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday, 28 November 2026, with kick-off scheduled for 15h30.

The confirmation highlights the stadium team’s efforts to prepare the venue to welcome players, supporters and visitors back to the Bay. This, after an intensive pitch refurbishment process which saw the old turf removed and renewed with fresh sand, seed and fertilizer. “The playing surface is once again ready to welcome players back,” says Dr Pierre Voges, Interim CEO of the MBDA. “The Stadium team is to be commended for their ongoing commitment to maintaining a world-class stadium. The resurfacing of the pitch was an essential part of the stadium’s proactive maintenance programme to ensure the inner bowl meets the standards expected for professional sporting events.”

Hosting matches of this calibre reinforces Nelson Mandela Bay’s position as a premier sporting destination. These fixtures create opportunities for local businesses, stimulate tourism and hospitality, and contribute to our local economy. Local vendors, small businesses and operators in the tourism and hospitality sectors  are  urged to capitalise on the opportunities these fixtures bring.

The NMB Stadium encourages supporters to come out in their numbers and celebrate the exciting encounter between Chippa United and Kaizer Chiefs. Tickets are available via Webtickets, the NMBS ticket office and selected outlets, including Boxer stores, BP forecourts and Pick n Pay. Supporters are encouraged to secure their tickets early and rally behind Chippa United as they welcome Kaizer Chiefs to the Bay.
