1. Background

The Mandela Bay Development Agency (MBDA) is a municipal entity that was established in 2004 by the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality (NMBM) to introduce urban renewal projects and initiatives into the inner cities and various emerging and developing nodes of the Nelson Mandela Bay (which comprises Port Elizabeth, Uitenhage and Despatch).

As part of its mandate it is also the Project Execution Agency for the NMBM in respect of the Helenvale Safety and Peace through Urban Upgrading (SPUU) programme, a foreign donor funded project of KfW Bank in Germany and which forms part of a government to government financial cooperation agreement between Germany and South Africa.

The MBDA hereby wishes to invite suitably qualified and experienced service providers in the auditing field to undertake the scope of work outlined below.

The MBDA hereby invites suitably qualified service providers to quote for cleaning services and the supply of consumables or equipment, for the MBDA and its managed sites and facilities.

The contract period is for 12 months and shall not exceed R200 000.00 inclusive of VAT.

The Cleaning/Sanitizing Services are listed below but are not limited to the following:

1. The High-Pressure Cleaning of Paving, concrete walkways, driveways etc
2. The High-Pressure Cleaning of Windows, including the frames interior and exterior
3. The High-Pressure Cleaning of Walls, structures and decking etc
4. The cleaning of Floors - including: Tiles, Cement, carpet, vinyl and wood etc. {with suitable equipment and materials}
5. All types of furniture i.e.: boardroom chairs, Tables, Desks, lounge suits + Cupboards i.e.: plastic, wood, vinyl, leather, metal, etc. {with suitable equipment and materials}
6. Treatment of all leather surfaces with suitable leather guard (to prolong the life of the leather furniture)
7. Cleaning of blinds and curtains
8. Vehicle cleaning (basic) interior + exterior wash (on site)
9. Vehicle cleaning (valet service) (on site)
10. Sanitizing of facilities and MBDA Sites {COVID}

The MBDA hereby invites service providers to submit quotations for the supply and delivery of toilet paper for MBDA and the MBDA managed sites and facilities.

The contract period shall be for 12 months and a value not exceeding R200 000.00 inclusive of VAT.

Please note:

1. Current requirements are 4 bulks of 48 toilet papers (4 bales) a month. The MBDA will communicate its monthly requirements with the recommended service provider and goods must only be provided once an official signed purchase order is issued.
2. The service provider awarded the tender will be requested to submit a quote in line with the quoted unit rates provided.
3. The Agency will place orders as and when required during the contract period.
4. The recommended bidder will be required to provide a sample of the toilet paper quoted.

Kindly cost for the following:

The specification provides for the supply and delivery of toilet paper for the period of 12 months.

1. 1 PLY toilet roll, 500 sheets – white
2. 2 PLY toilet roll, 350 sheets – white

Minimum requirement:

The product must be SABS approved with SANS: 1887-2:2015. Proof from your supplier must be submitted with proposal.

Failure to meet the above minimum requirement will render your bid non-responsive.

The preferred Service Provider will be required to produce Sample at no cost to the MBDA.
