The MBDA hereby invites suitably qualified service providers to submit quotations for pest control treatment services for its MBDA offices and any other MBDA managed sites and facilities. Services are for the control of rats, mice, cockroaches and any other insects, bi-monthly for a period of 12 months. Please note: 1. The MBDA reserves the right as and when required, to request the services on a monthly basis. 2. The service provider awarded the tender will be requested to submit a quote for each facility (other than the Tramway Building) as and if the need arises and based on the requirements of that site and in line with the quoted unit rates provided. Kindly cost for the following: Provision of pest control services to the MBDA on a bi-monthly basis (every second month) and monthly on bait stations as detailed below: 1. Bait Stations 2. Bait {Price related to the rebaiting of stations when required} 3. Fumigation 4. Any related Service {ad hoc} to be quoted on, as and when required} A compulsory briefing session will be held at the offices of the MBDA located at 1st Floor, Tramways Building, Corner of Lower Valley Road & South Union Street, Port Elizabeth on two (2) separate days as follows: 1. Wednesday, 09 September 2020 at 14h00 (by invitation only) 2. Thursday, 10 September 2020 at 14h00 (by invitation only) All COVID 19 protocols must and will be followed. Cleaning of Toilets

The MBDA seeks quotes from accredited service providers to supply quotes on the following: JANITOR/CLEANSING SERVICES – TRINDER PARK (Service providers interested in bidding must send an email to: formalquotes@mbda.co.za by 16h30 on Thursday, 20 August 2020.) Commercial cleansing service providers are required to submit proposals to provide one (1) janitor for the cleansing of Trinder Park public toilet facilities and adjacent areas. Quotes should include all costs i.e. wages for janitor working weekdays from 07h00 to 17h30 and Saturdays from 08h00 to 13h00, uniforms, safety gear etc . The MBDA might from time to time request that janitors work over a Sunday or a public holiday. Respondents must include overtime rates should the service provider be requested to work on public holidays and/or Sundays. Consumables and cleaning equipment will be provided to the successful service provider. Please submit a detailed TOTAL monthly fee structure excluding VAT for a contract period of 12 months. All labour cost must be as per minimum Government Gazetted rates which must include all statutory requirements, management fees, PPE and any other relevant costing. Please complete pricing schedule attached. Respondents should note that as part of this contract a monthly EPWP statistics report will need to be submitted to the MBDA office on or before the third (3rd) of each month. RENTAL OF KITCHEN AT TRAMWAYS BUILDING

The MBDA hereby calls interested Catering (Food preparation services) Operators to submit proposals with quotations for the leasing and of the Tramways Building based Kitchen Facility. The Facility was completed in 2015 and operated as a hospitality / chef training facility for a youth program based at the Tramways. The fully fitted kitchen with accompanying storage space and cooking utensils with built in stove, extractors and washing facilities is supported by available shower and ablutions facilities. A small administrative/ reception area is also available for all administrative purposes. The space for lease is Ground Floor, The Tramways approximately 304 square metres to be available for viewing between 12 to 14. Also see annexure A. Intended use of the kitchen facility: 1. The MBDA believes the facility presents a great opportunity for small catering or food preparations operations that do not require onsite consumption. Operations that cater at events or retail environment would be most appropriate. 2. We also believe the facility can continue to offer a training platform or a safe space for experimentation and upskilling of aspiring cooks or chefs. 3. Finally, the MBDA would welcome Cooperatives or initiatives that wish to operate on a time share scheme. IF this this the route proposed, then the MBDA will only enter a Service Level Agreement with a single entity whose credentials will be used to evaluate the submission. INSTALLATION OF PUBLIC MURAL ARTWORK WITH AN AWARENESS MESSAGE

The MBDA hereby invites suitably qualified Artists to install mosaic artwork with positive and uplifting awareness messages that address the COVID-19 pandemic. The mosaic artworks must be as below specification. 1. 30cm X 30cm 2. Submission must be for 100 pieces of artwork 3. Each artwork must have a minimum of two colours 4. Sites for installation will be curated by the MBDA The project intends to: a) Create work opportunities for local artists. b) Install colourful mosaic artwork in the inner-city c) Document the impact of COVID-19. Requirements from Artist: 1. The Artist will need to comply with all applicable COVID-19 regulations. 2. The Artist is expected to submit a proposal detailing the theme of the collection 3. The artist must submit images of previous artwork of a similar nature. 4. The artist must submit images / portfolio of previous artworks 5. Obtain a permit to work during lockdown. 6. Be registered on National Treasury Central supplier database (CSD) 7. Total costs must include material, labour, studio and all applicable costs in installing the artworks.
