Science and Technology Centre

The Nelson Mandela Bay Science Centre calls for suitable service providers to provide quotation(s) for transportation (x30) and Catering services for (x32) participants per day. This call is made in preparation for the Beyond the Booth Makerspace Programme to be held at the NMB Science & Technology, from 24 January 2022 – 25 March 2022. The programme will comprise 36 days scattered throughout the three-month period

 

The scope of work will be as follows;

Transport:

  • Transportation times are as follows: pick up at 14h00, drop off at 17h00
  • Pick-up points:
  1. Limekhaya Senior Secondary School (4 Rosedale Drive [Maduna Road], Langa Location)
  2. Solid Foundation School (12 Stow Road, Cannon Hill, Uitenhage)
  3. John Walton Senior Secondary School (174 Rosedale Drive, Rosedale)
  4. VM Kwinana Senior Secondary School (Nomakhwezana Road, Kwanobuhle 2, Kwanobuhle)
  5. Paterson High School (50 Nicholas Rd, Schauderville, Gqeberha)
  • Number of learners: 30 participants to be picked up for each day scheduled for the programme. Programme days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

 

Catering:

Finger lunch requirements for each day:

  • Fruit (x30)
  • Juice (x30)
  • Small bag of Chips (x30)
  • Sandwich – Polony, cheese, lettuce, cucumber & tomato or Chicken mayo (x30)
  • Juice and Sandwich (x2) – for facilitators

Delivery to be made at Science Centre. Corner of Upper Drostdy and Algoa Road.

Operation

The MBDA hereby invites suitably qualified service providers to provide pest control treatment for its MBDA offices and any other MBDA managed sites and facilities.

Services are for the control of rats, mice and cockroaches etc either monthly and or bi - monthly basis for a period of 12 months.

HELENVALE SPUU INFRASTRUCTURE EQUIPMENT AND TRAINING FOR MAINTENANCE.

The MBDA requires services of a Service provider whom can provide maintenance equipment with a training of the equipment on hand over. The equipment to be provided must be reputable with part locally and available, with the service provide having the relevant expertise in servicing and repairing the equipment to be specified with following required: 

  1. 4 x no. 3HP (house-power) Brusher cutters with harnesses and cutting equipment,
  2. 4 x no. 3.5 HP chainsaws with relevant lubricants,
  3. 4 x no. 12 HP Lawn-mowers(Please the price specify pricing)
  4. 1 x Line marker,
  5. 1 x no. 9-12 blade pitch roller,
  6. Static manual pitch roller

The NMB Science Centre in Uitenhage calls for suitable service providers to provide quotation for the following TRANSPORTATION SERVICES AND FOR CATERING PACKS for the Artificial Intellectual Workshop for Youth around Kwa-Nobuhle, Kwa-Langa, Rosedale and Despatch areas: For the 26 and 27 November 2021which is Friday and Saturday only.

Pick up and Droop off 75 Youth these will made by these 4 areas above. Transportation

Catering for 75 Youth

Venue: NMB Science Centre in Uitenhage

Specifications:

Morning Breakfast will be: Packed variety of Muffins only

Lunch: Finger Lunch: (Preferably: Chicken, Samosa, Fricadels, Potato wedges, sweet corn, cheese griller, Mini pies, or savory. We would like the service provider to follow the COVID-19 Regulations on packing.
