- Background
The Mandela Bay Development Agency (MBDA) is a municipal entity that was established in 2004 by the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality (NMBM) to introduce urban renewal projects and initiatives into the inner cities and various emerging and developing nodes of the Nelson Mandela Bay (which comprises Port Elizabeth, Uitenhage and Despatch).
The MBDA as part of quality control processes of the preparation of the Annual Financial Statements (AFS) requires a quality review of its AFS that are due to be submitted by the 31 August 2022.
The entity thus requires a compliance-based audit on disclosures made in the Annual Financial Statements in terms of Generally Recognised Accounting Practice (GRAP) and the Municipal Financial Management Act (MFMA) for the MBDA, which it to commence upon finalisation of the draft Annual Financial Statements.
The MBDA hereby wishes to invite suitably qualified and experienced service providers in the auditing field to undertake the scope of work outlined below.
